For some reason, this photo reminds me of being surrounded by a pack of animals. Not that that has ever happened to be, but I think the pained version makes the oasis style pond look much more inviting.
The first shot looks rather dull and dead. The second picture is painted with blots with added white to make it have a more winter feel! I think it's a better representation of our season and how I was feeling when I took the shot. This one is pretty simple, I wanted the branches to be cleared in the painted image so I blotted them out and faded the background so give it an old school farm field, even though it's just grass. I wanted it to reflect the simplicity of shots like this. This image was lightly water colored, only because I didn't want to take detail away from the gorgeous sunset colors! I slightly darkened the image as well. This picture reminds me of a popular painting at the DIA and the "lumber" style of woodsy photos that exists everywhere. I loved the logs and the space between them to make this look like a work site |
